I can't stand the 'New Post/Thread' page - Noova - 01-05-2026

I know it probably can't be changed, but it is an eyesore. 
  • If possible, I'd remove smilies altogether because they are almost no different from emojis (if they were to be kept it should be in a smaller menu).
  • I don't really know why the text field is white when the rest of the page has got a black background, but I'd make the colours consistent.
  • Formatting options are nice, but I didn't mind the way the worked on RT, where the page was clean and formatting was adjusted via symbols (e.g. enclosing text in asterisks to italicise it)
  • The post options should be removed as they serve zero important purpose.
  • Remove the Thread Subscription list.

Obviously it's early days for the site, but this is our new home. We should make sure to uphold simplicity whilst ensuring function and good aesthetics.

A lot of this is the fault of my forum software (and the themes i've installed), I'll try and change what i can though

Yeah I understand that but it's just annoying to see all that clutter that I'm never actually going to use. All I (and most people) really need is the formatting options, the ability to add attachments and the, 'Post Reply,' 'Preview Post,' and 'Save as Draft,' buttons.
Again, I know you probably can not change this but the parts highlighted in yellow is what I feel isn't necessary on this page.[attachment=2][attachment=2]

and the fact that it doesn’t let you type replies with less than three letters 

for example: i can’t just type “ye”
and the fact that it forces you to type certain words with certain lengths.

for example: i can’t just type “ye”

I've never encountered that problem because yesterday I replied to one of Mnep5's threads with a simple, 'ye,' but I was able to get it to work
