Regarding the Restoration - mnep5 - 02-03-2026
I know I'm going to get many questions regarding the 2nd of February purchase. I will answer all that I can think of here.
"did you get the domain"
No. It simply did not go up for sale, No ones got it.
"Did someone else snipe it"
No, they domain remains registered from 2019, If it was sniped it would be a new registry.
"Has it been renewed"
No, We have confirmation that the domain is going to expire SOON, but it wasn't to be today.
"When will it actually expire"
Domains have some bullshit feature where they are kept for a while after they really expire, I have found no concrete dates or anything surrounding the true rt expiry date (your help would be appreciated). All I can tell you is that sadly, it could be upwards of a MONTH from now.
"How will I know when it's expiring soon"
Check WHOIS, if you see text appear in the details saying "pending delete" (this is a good thing) or if you've seen anything change at all, Please reach out to me as fast as possible.
I don't want this news to demoralise anyone or destroy faith in our community, Yes, the domain is important. But it does not effect the site's workings in any way shape or form. This isn't the end, this is merely a delay.
I'm sorry I had to write this but that's just how things go sadly, We'll have the domain in early 2026 guaranteed. I will look into narrowing down an exact date for expiry.
This is extremely disappointing as we've spent 9 months for yet another delay. but it's only a delay. I know this isn't the news you want to hear and I absolutely dread telling anyone this but we've got to accept the reality that it could be months (May 2026 at the latest, not the earliest) before we own the domain.
Though, we absolutely cannot give up because of a domain which is near identical to our current one, For YEARS we went as RTR, a free hosting site, It's a luxury in itself that we have rblxtrade.trade and our own hosting, We have permission to continue RT's branding as the FORUMERS and the forumers only.
I really can't describe how I'm feeling, giving you all this news, Yes I'm sad, upset and rather disappointed about not getting it but I'm comforted knowing we have a site and that our community is still here, Look, it's not ideal but we must push on, This community is not worth a single domain, We still have much to look forward to despite this major setback.
Back in January we had a scare where we thought the domain would NEVER expire, or wouldn't until 2027, We're lucky to have it set back just a few months rather than a year at minimum.

The domain still expired, but expiry doesn't mean it's going to be available instantly, you still have to wait a bit longer
